Thread regarding Qualcomm Inc. layoffs

Dear fellow Qualcommers, you've got to find what you love...

"You've got to find what you love and that is as true for work as it is for lovers. Your work is going to fill a large part of your life and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven't found it yet, keep looking and don't settle. As with all matters of the heart, you'll know when you've found it.". --Steve Jobs

I rewatched the Stanford commencement speech tonight; if by chance you are a little down, watch it again. It helped me regain the perspective.

Qualcommers get brain washed into mediocrity. Seriously one of the worst places for a fresh grad to join.

It is like working for an enterprise middleware solutions provider.

It's great to have this perspective until the mortgage statement + daycare bill + family medical insurance premium + monthly bilsl start to pile up for months and keeping this perspective will start to become exponentially hard. Nonetheless, still a goal to strive for.
