Thread regarding Qualcomm Inc. layoffs

1 year Non-solicitation agreement

I left QC few months ago. I was trying to refer folks from my previous team to my current company. I asked my company's HR and she told me that every QCOMer signed non-solicitation agreement on their first day at QC. This agreement prohibits me to refer anyone from QC within a year from the date I left.

I didn't remember I signed that in 2008. Does anyone know about that?

This does NOT interfere with you telling your friends about the job opening(s) and them deciding on their own thatt that they want to pursue other employment with your new company. California's constitution gives employees the right to choose where they want to work. There was a recent court case in SV including such as case and the tech employer lost.

Not totally true. If you are fired or offered with a package to go. There will be a settlement agreement in which they dismiss all previous agreement you have signed. You can work for anyone later.

Anonymous124158 did they give you a package when you resigned? What made you sign such a document? They can't require you to do that unless they give you something in return
