Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

Is your boss acting strange lately?

My supervisor appears to be more distant lately. He doesn't always look me in the eye when we talk and he provides vague responses to my questions? I'm not sure if it's him that has problems or a tell-tale sign that I'm in trouble. Is anyone else experiencing the same thing?

Someone "accidentally" pooped on the floor in a 1500 Louisiana restroom today. An omen, perhaps?

Lol. I am sending that picture anonymously. Nothing written just the picture. That is down right funny.

Tell him that you think we had a moment and then let him know that you made him a painting.

Bosses are just like that, if they do not look at you they either do not care or are hiding something from you. Can be either one.

I asked the boss if I could get a raise, and he said, "Because of the fluctuational predisposition of your position's productive capacity as juxtaposed to the industry standards, it would be monetarily injudicious to advocate an increment."

I said, "I don't get it."

He said, "That's right."

I always look at my boss strange... Because he is. I just try not to look at him much. That helps us both.

Looks like your TL is trying to deflect his responsibility to his own boss. There's a pecking order in every organization. Chevron is no different. You shouldn't have to prove or demonstrate anything to anyone other than your direct supervisor. He/she is the one that represents you to upper management. Sometimes I wonder if the supervisors we have even care enough about the folks they supposedly lead.

during mid-year PMP, my team lead told me that we needed to do something to make senior management team know my contribution and expertise. I felt surprised as I thought that was his job to highlight those for his direct reports, including me.

anyone has any hint what does he really mean while saying that???

Bring a 2 dozen Kolaches in tomorrow morning to let him know you're a team player. If you let me know the floor and building I'll make a 3rd party evaluation of all TLs there.
