Thread regarding Qualcomm Inc. layoffs

Mini all-hands follow-up

I see appropriate, as the process was presented as bottom-up and really thought through already, that for each major group the SrVP/VP would organize ASAP an all-hands for their groups to show 1) he doen't know anything else than what was already presented 2) show compassion 3) mention that the process is transparent and 4) take questions *** How many of you had such a meeting Friday or have one scheduled next week? If you didn't have one or nothing exists in your calendar I would be worried...

Are there any teams where the VP has outright said the % of expected headcount reduction for their team?

Anonymous124698..You got it absolutely right!, I have not seen our VP giving any AH or group meeting in last 3 years..there is too much disconnect.

Many VP/sr dir have no actual management experience and afraid of talking in front of people in AH settings..so I don't expect they are going to engage much with employees in these tough times.
