Everyone knows QCES is barely a self sustaining unit...QCOM needs profits not self sustainment...and Dan Agre needs his GTFO package (it will be a fat one).

QCES is planned to be closed. All jobs will be outsourced. Just plan to start interviewing and prepare for it.

Waiting is terrible!!! It makes it very tough to stay focused on work. I'm hoping for the best, but not too hopeful.

Hope for the best, prepare for the worst. I agree the wait is killing, it's damn hard to work 14+ hours a day knowing that you're likely to be laid off. This is the time to prepare for an interview, and nothing can beat actually focusing on work and solving problems.

Yes, agreed...now it's a waiting game.

Correct this is across the board cost cutting initiative; we are waiting from executive management to clarify about our fate; seems to be a waiting game at the moment.

Thanks Anonymous125760 - I'm guessing this will be pretty common across all QC divisions. Yes?

Fair to say many jobs from this division can be outsourced to low cost locations; also heavy middle management structure of this division can removed in cost saving initiative.
