Here's a more effective approach than playing the layoff CYA game:

We calculate the total cost to the company of our employment over however many years we've been at QC. Next, we calculate the value of our contributions. If we can easily establish a 5X or greater return, we'll have no difficulty in negotiating an excellent severance package, AND we'll be armed with the vital info we need to secure our next position.

Good idea, lets try to get at least get decent severance... in this deal exec and investors making tons of money and the employees who actually created it shown the door.

Yes, this is essentially bean theory finance, applied at an individual level; a demonstration of our individual ability to generate revenue for the company.

The problem is that there is a forecasted revenue shortfall.... therefore expenses have to be reduced to offset the deficit. There is not the demand for the product. Therefore there is no "5X" return.
