I am pleased to announce the following appointments, which are effective August 1.
Chris Johnson is named Operations Director, Artificial Lift Systems, Central Geomarket reporting to Ryan Moore, Managing Director, Central Geomarket. He replaces Nathan Holland, who is named Product Line Director, Artificial Lift Systems reporting to Wade Welborn, and based in Claremore, OK.
Chris joined Baker Hughes in 2006 as a Design Engineer in Research and Development. He has co-authored multiple SPE papers and is co-inventor for patents associated with technologies for unconventional reservoirs. Throughout his career, he has led Engineering, Operations, and Sales teams. Chris earned his Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering from Lamar University and an MBA from the University of Houston.
Most recently, Chris held the position of Senior Sales Manager, Central Geomarket. He will be replaced by Kate Watts. Kate will report to Karl Bullard, Central Geomarket Sales Director.
Kate will lead in the areas of Completions, Pressure Pumping, and Wireline for the Sales Team. Kate joined Baker Hughes in 2009 after graduating from Mississippi State University with a BS in Civil Engineering, and since then has held roles in Operations Support, Account Management, and both Sales and Operations leadership.
