Talking about the campaign 'Why wait'. I don't really understand what the fantastic campaign is for even though I went through the website to get my T-shirt.

Now I know what that was prepared for!

Why wait, SM! Just kick 4500 off right now! It is the most ridiculous layoff process I have seen. Do you really believe the fantastic review process will do its justice?

Don't kid yourself, as far back as 2-3 years ago they were instituting the 7 rating system on the back end of actual reviews. Dept heads decided your value to the company long term and short term. That determined how many RSUs you received and how much your bonus should be. It had nothing to do with your review number. They knew a long time ago they could not sustain the hiring practices and had to be ready for layoffs.

This 5 is in new 1-7 rating system , just above average. Even 4s are not sure to make it in 1st round. There should be some kind of VSP for graceful exit...

Thats the SHOW to cover company's butt legally.But does it really matter? It's better to GTFO sooner than later..also severance packages goes down in value on the way down.... Lot of folks worrying about how to be part of this first round in sept, as they did not anticipate it and now sitting with 5+ ratings and no hope to make it. I don't understand why QCOM do not want to offer QCT wide VSP kind of thing?That will be amicable way to depart and win-win situation for everyone.
