Oh Chevron's total will be 10,000 plus.
I work for Shell. We are very open with headcount. We do pay a premium for the workers that are filling in the "boom" positions. Look at it like a contractor as they will be cut as market goes down. I am not sure what's happening with Chevron but the 1,500 in only 4-5 staff position groups in Houston. Your business units have not been counted into those number for what I was told from my friend who works there. I can also say no one at Shell really has a bitch to make at management. But at a happy hour with a group of Chevron employees. EVERYONE KNOWS ABOUT THIS WEBSITE! So maybe people at Shell just don't know a place to bitch.
