Chevron screws up BBS (Behavioral Based Safety) the intent of this program is to be run by front line employees. Management supports the system but actually has no input as again it is run by the workers. And you start to measure safe behaviors vs unsafe behaviors peer to peer. I have only been with Chevron 4 years and your HES department blows. There is very little to no field engagement. Young professionals are not mentored only shown the process. Chevron thinks by pretending things like BBS or how many people are in the HES department translate into a safe work environment. I would love to put these leaders in a company where safety truly is a value. Show me an inefficient operation where the MCP variance is oh say double and I will show you an unsafe operation. Safety is not some add on feature. It is part of operating your business.
