Why are they waiting till August 10 to notify those who got REA letters whether or not they are being terminated for so-called under-underperformance? Isnt the workplace at Chevron toxic enough without making people sweat it further? It seems clear that the decisions have already been made.

How indepth are these RAEs? I mean, i have done alot of extra stuff and have military service and a four year degree, while other may have a two or none. I thought i had a leg up, but like "wronged" said, it I s supervisors getting rid of those who are on thier bad side :/
Your toast
I have news for you all - CNAEP's RAE is NOT just for "low performers" who have had 2- or 3 on their PMPs. I am "in scope" and have gotten only 2 and 2+ on my PMPs for all the years I have been with Chevron, never a 2- or a 3. Never. . Supervisors are using this as an opportunity to get rid of people they don't like.
It's not your average score, it's any individual PMP rating of 2- or 3 in the last 3 years (2012, 2013, 2014) and it's only in CNAEP. Original poster, the reason it's taking so long is because HR and Legal are making sure that no laws are being broken and no protected groups are being unfairly targeted or discriminated against. If you are in scope, you need to get your resume together and start looking elsewhere.
If you've received a final ranking of -2 or 3 in the past 3 years then you're in scope. That's what was communicated in my group a week ago. Doesn't mean you are gone, just that you are under review. I expect to hear something either the end of this week or beginning of next.
I keep hearing people referring to low performers as someone with a 2- or 3 on their evaluation. Is this the average evaluation score or is it someone who might have that in one section of their PMP but their overall score is a 2.
Yes you are being terminated. Have a party your free!
RAE is for CNAEP low performers (2- or 3).
Just curious if this is department specific because nothing has been communicated to me in the past week. Was told that I would know within two weeks which would be on or before 8/11.
If anyone is told to stay home until August 10, I think it's because they are going to be let go. In this RAE, many folks will be cut (all at the same time). If they send anyone home, it's with the intentions of canning them all. They think it's easier this way rather than risking the problem of escorting many out the building on the same day.
You gone
It was email. From HR. And I meant RAE.
Did you receive a letter through the Postal Service? Or was it an email?
I got a call, never received a letter. Was told to stay home until "the review" is done on August 10th
