What are Howard Taylor and Jennifer Hatton like to work for?

HT drank the kool-aid long ago. He's usually drunk on it.
I agree and disagree with 138836. HT was quite competent and cared and supported his team. Jen was always fair and treated team members with the utmost respect. I never saw or heard anything different. Both are class acts. Kinda shocking another company hasn't snatched them up yet.
I adore Howard. He tells it like it is and his business acumen is no joke. If you are female, Jen may treat you like dirt for no perceivable reason. If you're male, she's kind, smart, and tough.
I'm going to stand up for HT as well. I worked for him and always found him to be helpful and even-handed, and he certainly knew the business. Great guy.
Howard Taylor is the best boss I have ever had in 20 years at Follett. Leave him a voice mail on email with a problem and within 15 minutes you will usually get a response with helpful support. I also worked for Jennifer and also found her to be extremely supportive. Bob is another animal entirely. There are those that brown nose when needed and then there are those that make it a full time effort.
Watch your back and keep your eyes and ears open.
Da Troof has it right...you could do much worse. HT and JH are surely caught up in the meat grinder that is Follett. Tough to have an impact when the ground is constantly shaking below your feet. Scholl and Smith are prime examples of poor management.
HT is clueless and JH is a phony. Don't believe her bullshit...she drinks the kool-aid.
