Senior Execs at Baker Hughes Forced to Take Steep Pay Cuts

Senior executives at Baker Hughes are being forced to take steep pay cuts as the struggling company moves through one of the worst downturn. The move comes as oil price drops below $50. Most of them will take a 15 percent pay cut on the annual salary and gave up a 30 percent bonus. The pay cuts are part of the company's effort to address rising employees' discontent over what some perceive as excessively high salaries for top executives.

I don't believe this story either. It's part of a disinformation plan. These executives and managers are way too greedy to take a pay cut. They would rather quit than take a pay cut

Even for free, I would not buy this story! No upper management type ever took a pay cut. Even the ones demoted with reason, the title was all that was demoted.

15 percent reduced salary my ass they laid off some good worker that where less paid and could of cut the managers instead. We don't need all they have at the woodlands and all the tea bagger specialist really there a million in salary saved there layoff off the floor worker really that's smart dumb ass baker

I seriously doubt that.

It should be standard procedure at all co's that if management 'has' to resort to layoffs, then their pay should be cut as well.

Hell as of working for this company for only 3 months I guess I got thrown into the shit mix blender which I tried to leave behind before of =when do I go to work, am I able to have work, how much work can I still expect, am I still going to be employed a month from now, etc.... I as an an American worker want the ability and the know how of a company that * KNOWS AND COMMUNICATES* what the hell is going on! It is their job to do that. The employees of that company RUN it !! Not the CEO and exec's.. those are just the desk jockey's and accounting firm hand shakers. Business in the US has been outsourced and transferred so many times it is--- Your business only survives by the employees ( the grunts if you want to say it that way) and it's not funny any more for the working class that is powering this shit system! Some CEO or higher up needs to get the balls and integrity to say what is going on ( someone knows) because keeping people in a ^LIMBO type atmosphere^ degrades overall work performance,,, didn't they learn that in some college economics class??? The bottom point is= Your business only survives by happy employees that keep it running, not pen-pushers that ask their accountants to see if they can get a tax write off! Shed some light and maybe you will flourish, keep the people that run this shit in the dark, YOU WILL ULTIMATELY FAIL!!!
