Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

Dear MCBU Colleagues,

I want to make you aware that each employee who was involved in the Resource Adjustment Exercise (RAE) announced last month has been notified of his or her status and next steps. If you have not received notification, you are not in scope for RAE and can proceed with business as usual.

As I mentioned last month, while the vast majority of our employees are not impacted by RAE, this is no doubt a challenging time for our entire workforce, especially our impacted colleagues. It is important that we all look out for one another. Please raise any questions or concerns you may have with your supervisor, manager or HR Business Partner.

MCBU’s efforts to gain efficiencies, reduce costs and deliver our business plan are not going unnoticed. Our challenge ahead is to continue our trajectory of success by relentlessly pursuing top tier performance. I appreciate your hard work and commitment as we keep in clear view MCBU’s long-term growth ahead of us.

Bruce,

You wear the chains of oppression in your video. Did you realize that they are the chains of oppression? As a man of color, I hope you know how much it pains me to see such a spoof from a leader of a company I love so much. Instead of putting a spin on the video and saying it was a success at your last town hall, I would have loved for you to have told the truth that the board as well as the CEO found it in bad taste. Finally, placing the only man of color in a kiddie pool was very degrading. Really, the kiddie pool while the white people are counting the money in the glass tower. Shameful.

You need to remove the dick from your ass. MCP is more than double the well cost of competitors in the Delaware. These videos, Emails, Memo's ge tout and make not only Chevron look bad but the industry. When Chevron hit rock bottom this video will make it to the public. One it's just plain ignorant two it is racially ignorant. I won't even go into the racial shit....someone needs to post that video up who has it. It was the most ignorant thing I saw in my 30 years of working. Exxon, BP, Total....never in a million years. Now if we were performing it still is ignorant but in this environment its shows how out of touch Bruce is with perception. He destroyed the AMBU BU and was moved to MCBU. Thank God for Don Puckett. Bruce can think of his next rap video as he has shown he is a loser at business.

I felt sooooo embarrassed for the man when he made the MCBU Rap video. I am in Mid Con and we all saw it and it went around the entire enterprise then IMMEDIATELY DISAPPEARED. Did anyone see it. He was throwing money up in the air....the SCM Mike had his shirt open with big fat gold chains and was throwing money up in the air. It was horrendous. But MCBU has 350 planned wells this coming year and I would expect a small RIF with that number of wells. Don't get me wrong 50% of the people here could not tell a fluid in from a jock strap but that's another story. Also our well cost our twice as high as our nearest competitor and produce 75% as much.

who is in the scope of RAE or not mainly depends on what you do, not that much how hard you work and how well you do the work. this is life.. there are so many things out of our control. Otherwise, we all should have worked on something that is regarded as "core" business and thus keep the job.

Well Mr. Bruce did a number on AMBU then got promoted to MCBU.... He bailed out early of AMBU before his PMP rating was issued..... Gotta love chevron! Although the VIDEO was really professional. Too bad it didn't stay on the air long. Wonder if he got a ROD for that! Can't believe he is still there.....
