Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

Any news about SASBU?

Everyone in Houston office is must-move. Is next year spring PDC better than this September ROM?

It's pretty interesting that AMBU will go NOJV. Do you have facts to back that up?

I also left AMBU because I saw the writing on the wall. AMBU has never really been successful. Not because of safety overhead, more because of process overhead. It was also the origin of the BCG nightmare that will gut the rest of CVX. Chevron was too proud to network with local operators, or listen to locals they had acquired. The result is heartbreaking.

LOL at someone would think You loose your position it's called a layoff. Welcome to how the rest of the world works. we would have hiring sessions when 1-5 employees won't be here for the Spring session.

There wont be a spring PDC. ROMs & RAEs till staffing in equilibrium with oil price and MCP screwups.

Bueller Bueller Bueller.........There will be NO JOBS TO GO TO.....the welfare state called Daddy Chevron is officillay broke. It lost 30 billion in market cap alone from stock price let alone price of oil.

Part of Sasbu people is going to September ROM, some will go to spring PDC, some will go to fall PDC. The office is closed by the end of 2016. If there is no spring PDC,( or maybe no fall PDC neither) how can those people find jobs in chevron?

No PDC's. There are no jobs to slide into. You also have to get direct line supervisor for any hiring. So you can not take care of a friend. Some one asked if there was a true hiring freeze. No we will layoff 20% of our workforce by March that is not a hiring freeze that's a firing boom. My coworker took a real shit job to get out of AMBU this fall. He knew it was his last chance. AMBU will shed 90% of it's jobs as it goes to full NOJV. If he waited he would not have been placed. Also outside of the U.S. Chevron has to look at each persons country of origin as labor laws are very different on how and when you can fire an individual worker.
