Redundant is the gentle politically correct way to say "Layoffs" in Australia. People have been on pins and needles as upper management insists on everyone using up their annual and field leave so the packages won't be so huge when when it's time to kick them out the door. There's a lot of good people here and a lot of good people were let go in last few months. Those people helped the base grow from hardly anything over the last few years.

It's really sad to see that and when you have a RBU come in and utterly runs the place into the ground and then is send off to another assignment with no consequences for what he did sends a real clear message to the remaining staff.

Redundant? The RBU both former and existing are filling their pockets with high salaries as the business was run into the toilet. There are definitely more people to be made "redundant". Don't worry the RBU, Wireline Director, and the VP of Wireline will continue to tour around the region living the high life; while you redundant people get laid off.
