So I see the list for layoffs for Wednesday. I see the name of an employee that will be a senior manager somewhere. He is that good! Now he is a polite ball buster. He has taken me to task on several issues when I was wrong. His approach is excellent. Always one on one and just states the facts. Then it is never mentioned again. Well in Chevron he is hated. He is a threat and somehow got on the list. HR told me I can not change any outcome. I explained to HR they are a staff position and do not have direct say on any outcome. I took there Consultation and I don't agree. Do not be surprised if you see folks getting shit canned with good PMP's. I am tired ladies and Gentlemen, I was raging against the night but I am going to retire. I have the paperwork and it will be finished by Friday. I wish I could say I thin k things will be alright but they won't.

im willing to take one for the team!
Sorry about the typos. I am on my phone. Fat fingers and no reading glasses.
Guys I asked to be left standing in a ROM. I never thought I would ask to loose a job. But I did with a family to support. I had health issues. Weight gain, heart beat irregularities, cholesterol way out of wack. I knew the ms in cause.....when i went to work I felt like a Zebra on the Serengeti. Sure by lions and hyenas (spell check put Hyman in there....I was also surrounded by them lol). Guess what. I list 50 pounds. No heart or cholesterol issues now. I would have died young there. It's hard to see but it's a blessing. I did not like the person I was when I left work at Chevron to go home. You know study after study shows it's not the parent who stays at work and loves hus job who is detrimental it's the guy who lethal his job thst is! Hey u know this but you have to fully believe it....ePMP and Chevron's opinion of you your work your degree your attitude or anything else does not matter. Do not waste mental space on this thing. God speed!
The ePMP employee performance review process is a joke. Nothing but a form-filling excercise to satisfy the Labor department need to have an employee evaluation program. Crap in, crap out.
People seem to think that PMP results matter. The ePMP process does not store, track or in any way analyze the results. It is simply a storage location and somewhat confusing tool. If CVX were a normal company, that data would be available for analysis and decision making.
A clean sweep of HR would be good start. They are utterly self serving and clueless.
Wow anonymous 133676! I am so happy for you and so much like you! This is "Free at Last" again. My friends said the same thing. A friend of 20 years said to me one month after I left CVX, "It is so great to see you like this...I have never seen you this relaxed and happy."
Ahhh this brings back the memories of chronic diarrhea and stomach pains of my lovely time at Chevron. I left just like the poster below. I took a week off then at my new job. Within a month of getting out everyone said I notice a change mate. You in love? Getting laid? Nope out of Chevron!
Get on the Freedom Bus and get out of Chevron. I quit a year ago. You have no idea how toxic and insanely stupid your company is until you leave it all behind. You will be glad you did. Trust me.
Ahhhh yes project Matrix. You can be nominated to be on the list with all 1 PMP's. This is true. I did not understand there are two layoffs going on......what a F'd up place to work.
Good idea on the org charts.....And yes you free at last free at last......Severance means you are out the door. Congratulations on being free from the sickest work environment in the energy sector.
Save the latest copy of your BU's org chart (PDF file) before you get canned in this ROM/RAE. Chances are one of your friends lucky enough to remain working will email you a copy of the new org chart when this shit is over. Compare the two org charts and see which ass kissers and low performers got to keep their jobs. I'm sure you may be surprised.
Is it done? I got my notice..If I see severance on my retirement page I'm for sure out the door Wednesday?
It is not your supervisor it's a level above him or her. They can just add your name to the list. This is for the performance layoff during the ROM RAE it will be a free for all and you can be bumped by your supervisor at will.
I thought PDR concurrence was required. I don't think your supervisor could simply add your name to a spreadsheet.
Yes, that is true. I have had nothing but 2 and 2+ PMPs for my years at Chevron, R&As and good feedback from everybody. Unfortunately I also have a supervisor who does not like me , and has put me on the CNAEP RAE list, which is supposedly for the "low performers". Don't believe a word of what you hear from corporate.
This is true!
