I am sure I will be gone this Wednesday, 22 years here, it's time to go. I have mixed feelings about this but the company changed so much and I really not enjoying working here any more. Do not get me wrong, Chevron has amazing people, it's just strategy that changed and it's not fun. I would like to say farewell to all of you on this board (I've been lurking here for many months). I'm just a wife of one that will be let go tomorrow and we feel very scared. He has been with Chevron for 8 years. He's a middle aged man who didn't begin his career with Chevron and apparently won't end it there either. He seems pretty confident about getting something as he can't retire just yet, but we have 4 school aged children, all in private school, just bought a house etc.. I really feel this could have been done differently but, like someone already said, "it is what it is". Good luck to all that are going through this~

Im sorry folks. We will be fine. Let's keep our heads up. We survived the "Chevron Way", let's finish this season our way and duck Chevron and those who don't deserve to keep their jobs. For better or worst at least we're out of it. Cheers!!!
This is depressing! We are getting ROM'ed and it is not a good feeling at all! Hate what CVX has become!
