I’m in early 50’s and work at the office for many years. I’ve been the best performer in the division. A couple years ago the company hired a person who is my partner working in many joint projects but with different roles. From the beginning we didn't get along and I eventually found he doesn't need a partner but a subordinate, which I'm not willing to play. All indications suggest the company plans to force me out likely by year end before the merger happens. I am a point where I can retire comfortably after years of saving and retirement planning. All debts are paid off including the mortgage. Kids are off to college with tuition fully funded. What are my best strategies to go through this period? How can I get a separation package without showing my card?

The longer you can take it, the more money you will have. Personally I got sick of it and retired.
He is Indian. Both of them.
Some of those Chinese chicks at rankin are pretty damn hot
If you are in fact going to be let go, then I guess it's not in your best interest to help him out. Make him earn his pay, don't bail him out if he gets behind or do any of his work for him. Take vacation when you know he'll need assistance. The only person you can depend on is you and all BHI cares about is bottom line. They only take care of the upper echelon.
Yes, sit tight and wait as mentioned. You will not be the only one doing just that.
I am sure the new guy is Chinese. Is it?
In my opinion your best strategy now is to just sit tight and wait. Good luck!
New guy looked you over, chewed you up and spat you out.
