Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

Poor Mr Watson

Don't know how he will make ends meet if his performance was to lead to his job loss. How is he going to put food on the table or pay the mortgage if he were to go? That $26 million/yr salary of his can only go so far to paying the basic staples after hes let go.

Much better to let lots of the little people go - in order to make the company more efficient you see. They'll be ok, what with all the money they were making etc.

After all, Gorgon/Wheatstone, Bigfoot, GOM, Angola, AMBU, Chinas gas project, ditching the downstream assets, missing out on Bakken - none of that should reflect on a company most amused......errrr, admired..... for its people, performance and partnership. 90% drop in profits isn't anyones fault, really.

It's all good people. Take your severance. Performance means nothing above a certain PSG.

No offense but Mr Watson should resign and give back all of his 5 years worth of money back to us, engineers who have worked are ass off getting stuff out of the ground and making it into reality for grow and prospect.

Etc engineer, f*** you Chevron and most definitely Mr Watson
