Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

Yes, there is life after Chevron

-------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------- I got axed in the 2010 Downstream ROM. Yes, there is life after Chevron, yes, today's job market is rough, but keep trying and striving. I hope that your next position is rewarding, challenging, well compensated, and without all these foolish, motivation-sapping CVX "processes".

I left Chevron after the last ROM. The environment became too toxic. Similar story in that I now make a lot more money.

Run the numbers, people are one of the lower costs of doing business. Chevron, try refactoring your overbearing processes, eliminating bottlenecks, and enabling your knowledge workers with more training and decision authority. You can't solve your problems with the same thinking you used to create them.

I too left about 13 yrs ago........ I tripled my income by leaving this place........ it was a blessing.

GL all..... and don't look back.

The CVX social experiment can be forgotten.

+2 - Left chevron as well and couldn't be happier. It is a miserable place to work at. I am not sure how they received the number "one" place to be employed at. This is a blessing in disguise.

+1 - left a few years back. Chevron is a good company but there are many other options out there.
