Yearly layoffs help to meet the street numbers since they are not doing it via sales. The company has thousands of incompetent offshore resources / vendors, some moved onshore and yet they still cannot meet a deadline and just spend budget. The company is considered an Indian company by insiders.

I agree 100% with this post. They have IT so mired in nonsense it's hard to get anything done. I'm sure they are nice people but we need better workers.
Dude, what'll you do, Indians are almost always the smartest, most frugal, and most hard working. It is tough to compete.

I am a vendor. I was in one meeting at Cisco with a coleague. It was 40 indian guys (Cisco and different vendors) and two of us (one latino/white and one asian) - needless to say wen never won any work
