Intel's XMM7360 is competitive! And the price might much lower than Qualcomm's.
Yeah x86 genius... Do you think Intel is interested in buying an arm design? Keep dreaming... In the moment we loose the socket on the iPhone 3500 layoffs will be regarded as a small loss
Intel can deliver but it cannot deliver the complete solution as Q does. If one looks at the whole handset portfolio, Q still rules... with tough competition.
x86..........lol
why should intel buy qct? their modem is good enough now to go on the iphone, our msm's are loosing grip and are not x86
Intel is so bad
possibly CEVA. http://www.semiwiki.com/forum/content/4560-ceva-dsp-cores-inside-intel.html
What ISA does Intel use in their modem? Anybody know?
@Anonymous134925, cool article. good to see it's on the cutting edge of 5 months past.
NEXT IPHONE MAY FEATURE INTEL’S BLAZING FAST XMM 7360 LTE MODEM --- http://www.vrworld.com/2015/03/12/next-iphone-may-feature-intels-blazing-fast-xmm-7360-lte-modem/
7460 is more like it
So many synergies too. Just think of the synergies!
Why? This is the era of leverage. What's the fed leveraged at?
I have seen this mentioned a zillion times even by well regarded market equity analysts, do not buy it. Cannot see how this can happen. Assuming that the spun off QCT is on the block, asking price is going to be north of $45B. Intel does not have even a quarter of that in cash. A leveraged buyout is even more problematic.
Won't matter if Intel buys qct
