Thread regarding L-3 Communications Holdings Inc. layoffs

Don't do your job and leave the managers (to fend for themselves)

Hey CSWers - here's a better suggestion: don't do your jobs and leave the managers (to fend for themselves). Sit back, grab a cold one, and watch the ravenous sharks chew each others' dorsal fins off. Sound like fun?

Yes Captain Obvious I was indeed addressing my suggestion to the alleged "Hoskins" and various others. Layoffs are sadly a part of business but when the same management that lauded themselves on their Brilliance for growing the business now sees that business evaporating and is unable to do anything, that is incompetence.

@AnonyFawkes - Layoffs are the result of the incompetence of our leadership. Instead of asking for retirement papers of hard workers, why don't you urge your leadership to put in their retirement papers? God knows they have lived off the L-3 tit for too long. Time to wean them of mother's milk.

@Hoskins the ignorance and stupidity reflected in your comment show that your reputation on this forum is well deserved. Anonymous136460 was pointing out that the pro-management Chicken Little known as Anonymous136438 said that if people refused to work, then bad things would happen; 136460 was merely stating that even though people are working hard, our customers are already abandoning us (and our products and proposals), revenues are falling, and layoffs have already commenced. Do yourself and all of us a favor and get your retirement paperwork in on Monday.

@Anonymous136460 - I'm sure you want to brain wash your gullible employees into thinking that they aren't working hard enough. Try this instead: consider that you (and the rest of the managers, directors, and VPs) trolling this site aren't working hard enough, and that maybe you don't deserve the inflated salary you make or the benefits you get on the backs of other people. No one is going to shed a tear on this site for the 1% like you. Now, get back to your private golf outing with the Romneys.

@Anonymous136438 you describe a horrific scenario that is already taking place.

People - chill out. I seriously doubt anyone is going to stop doing their jobs. However, it's worth noting how much the "managers" would freak out if we did. God knows they don't do a damn thing, except look important, drive expensive cars, and jack each other off. Ops management is one giant circle jerk.

You are not going to hurt the managers with this plan. You will hurt the customers with schedule and cost, who will no longer buy from us. When revenue goes down, what do you think happens next? Layoffs. And who do you think names will float to the top?

Hey this could be fun. Nobody do anything and see if the managers notice. Then see what happens when they try to get people to work. Two-to-one their first action is to organize a managers-only meeting.

Guy Fuwkes is in! Let's book a few fuwking conference rooms now for the proverbial "shark tanks".

Brilliant idea! Let all the Type-A meeting freaks assign action items to each other and watch everything left undone.
