Hourly Employees Layoffs

It is very sad for Kraft. This was a TAKE OVER and 3G and Warren Buffet does not care. I am wondering when the Layoffs start hitting Hourly Employees.

Hourly employee impact is unlikely, at least in the form of layoffs. The most likely scenario will be plant closures at the most extreme. It will happen without a doubt. Happened in Heinz, will happen in Kraft too. What will impact hourly employees in the next year is impossibly tight budgets and huge productivity targets. To make money plants will be forced to not fill positions, take out labor (people) whenever possible, switch more full time positions to part time or temp labor, and generally make fewer people do more with/for less. It's going to a different culture than before.

The media keeps referring to it as a "merger". WE KNOW, it ain't no merger, and Heinz is certainly taking care of its own.

Everything that has happened was to be expected.... They have a playbook out there for a reason. And yes... buying 51% ownership is generally a take over.
