Lying about your qualifications is hardly professionalism. Slimey piece of sh*t seems like an descriptor. What else do you lie about?

Just for your info, Anonymous135142, call me what you like. But that fake MBA has kept me in a good job for over 15 years already. Trust me when I say, a piece of paper doesn't make the man and won't take you places. Your persona, confidence, professionalism and dedication to your craft is all that counts in this world. I have worked with folks with only a high school education that with their years of experience can run circles around most MBA's.

The UHD College of Business is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business....AACSB International....only 5% of the world's 12K top business schools have this accreditation. This is a quality MBA program...and it does require class attendance two nights a week......NOT an online program. Yes, please do your due diligence. I merely mentioned this because after Accelerate Downstream, alot of people went back to school with their severance money, and this may help someone in this ROM.

You may be correct, the MBA I purchased online didn't get me the job, but I'm sure my persona and my knowledge of the job most certainly did. In life you will realize that perception is reality (most of the time). The piece of paper I provided with my resume probably impressed, but I'm sure it was the more tangible asset that won everyone over - my persona and confidence. Remember that, it's true in politics and also true in life.

Anonymous135278- I doubt the online pay-for-a-MBA is what got you the job.

I have a fake MBA I purchased online. I am currently employed and got in through the door without a problem. Newsflash - not every employer checks, just goes on perception. But don't think I am a fool. I know my field very well and am very professional on the job.

I hire MBAs (just lurking here, not working for Chevron). There is an extraordinary strong correlation between the selectivity of a school and quality of candidates. I am in Southern California and do not know your local market in Houston (regional schools) but here a graduate degree from University of Phoenix, Pepperdine University or similar often get disregarded when hiring (I actually ding you a bit for poor decision making). I'd rather see someone who went through hoops to get a degree from a State school (but also paid much less and had to put up with a more rigorous attendance schedule etc - those folks are typically ready to go an extra mile and figure things out on their own. My 2 cents, very humble 2 cents.

Perform your due diligence on degrees like this. Prestige is very important with MBAs because no GMAT required programs with essentially "open-admissions" have devalued the MBA. Having a MBA won't do a whole lot for you unless it is from a good program with a solid network. That doesn't mean something like this isn't right for your particular situation, but it is not the magic bullet for getting a new job or changing industries.
