SAP has a terrible interface and is terribly slow at my company. It's been in place for several years now (not in OKC) I would compare it to a 1990s DHTML website at millions and millions of dollars.

They will lay people off way before the launch of SAP. Last I heard they were pushing it back to middle of next year. Glad I'm not the only one that thinks that was a huge waste of money.

You were also lied to if you were told the SAP implementation only cost $20M. That may have covered the first month or two.

You were lied to if someone told you that they were starting to implement SAP in 2008.

Deploy that 20 M+ sunk cost software package then offshore work to India? I interviewed in 2008 when they were implementing SAP lol

IMO No layoffs until after the SAP implementation is complete. Then who knows what will happen.

Don't worry. CHK is built on a foundation of transparency and open communication. Were anything going to happen, management would be extremely proactive in communicating that to all levels so that nobody would be caught off guard. It is safe to assume that everything is going to be fine, except for that looming bankruptcy due to unmitigated cash burn. Other than that, everything will be fine.
