Thread regarding Qualcomm Inc. layoffs

Posts about RC VP promo and PS's unethical biased promo support for RC

HR should investigate and take appropriate disciplinary actions...I in hard times like this, we only need ethical, unbiased, capable leaders who can lead by example. HR can get anonymous voting from all QCT engineering helps.

@ Anonymous137200 - yeah, no lead or manager in Qualcomm do any work. Fire 'em all!

And, then you can write your buggy copy&paste code and launch all the devices all by yourself with customer whipping your sorry A$$...

A lot of folks in RC's org target and PDT leads who form a chain who support each other. Everyone with manager title in RC's org needs to be laid off. Lazy and just walking around doing nothing. HR cannot help as they get directions from these powerful directors that these managers are working really?

Well... Q makes it easy to have any riff raff join the team and move up.. No gating at the hiring process or promo process... Or any kind of control on what happens ones these riff raffs are in..... I blame it on HR folks that don't do anything when they are informed about these events.. When loop holes exist it is only "normal" of questionable characters to take advantage...and our HR at Q is the biggest loop hole...

There are many such cases. I have know one such case where the lady in QIPL who was working in GM US, has not done a single line of coding or understand the design but is leading a development team in QIPL and is a P/E. P/E's should have atleast worked earlier and guide the team technically.

If multiple QC engineers send anonymous letters to the HR, may be they will do something...at least bring these unethical folks in the lime light...

HR is expected to handle such things...hope more and more employees complain and it gets attention...they have title but at least no dignity or respect...thx to God!

"it is only expected for management to choose and promoted the candidate who is more... well... in tune (whatever that means...) with the folks of the next level with whom he/she will be working with..."

Again, HR has no problem with this.

IMO, people's personal lives and relationships at work or outside is really irrelevant here. If all things related to employee performance are equal, performance of all employees at the expected level are equal, it is only expected for management to choose and promoted the candidate who is more... well... in tune (whatever that means...) with the folks of the next level with whom he/she will be working with. I think the problem here seems to be that the candidate that was promoted was not necessarily performing a the same level as the other candidates. And was promoted solely based on being more "in tune" with the folks who had promoted her. Favoritism should not be condoned at any company. But IMO at Q, favoritism work at all levels here and promotions are rarely based on merit only and sometime not even on merit at all. Working for Q is turning out to be an embarrassment. Q seems to be tolerant of a lot of unfair management behavior.

135919 - What does the affair have with PJ running a company? He is not running for public office. I bet you 95% of all high paid execs have some kind of side business. But this doesnt mean that cant run a company.

managers told HR that the SUN rises from west and sets to the east, HR agrees "that's right Sir".

HR can't do anything, they absolutely have no power. As a matter of fact, they're always followed orders from manager regardless, just to keep their job. DON'T expect much from HR that to protect you. WAKE UP!

Look at PJ who had affair with a Canadian woman. That's why he stepped down. So, why shouldn't these two VPs?

Can't agree more...time is tough and only capable, ethical leaders should be placed to grow the company and lead by example...these two are not people person at a minimum and shouldn't be in decision making positions.
