If you're married, the good news is that alimony is quite low for someone on unemployment. And if the wife leaving you is employed, YOU can collect alimony. Maybe go for Social Security Disablity after the unemployment runs out. Between the alimony, SSI, food stamps, pan handling and selling drugs, you just might be able to generate 25% of your previous pay.

Lol. My wife is a doctor. She makes a hell of lot more than I do at the Q. And if we get a divorce, I get alimony and child support! Works both way in CA. Just like Madonna and Sean Penn.
for US employees, take 1.5+log10(compensation in dollars). you better be bigger than that in inches to keep her.
