....But I really have to thank Dad. Dad made a boatload of money, being a really old timer at the Q. And right before he retired, he put in a good word for me, and I got a job at the Q in marketing. If it weren't for him, it would have been really difficult for me to find a job with my degree on conversational linguistics. But I am thankful with his connections, I was able to land a job at the Q, and worked on the great marketing strategy that came up with "Why Wait?"
I don't know about you guys. But my backup plan if all else failed is borrowing money from The Bank of Mom and Dad's Trust Fund . But it's not like I have a mortgage or student loan to worry about. I got a full ride to a private university, courtesy of the Scholarship from Mom and Dad's Trust Fund. And when I graduated from college, I bought a house in LJ, using money from The Mortgage Underwriters of Mom and Dad that paid off the home for me. My Q salary just pays for the incidentals expenses. They wanted me to get a job because they wanted me to learn how the average american middle class works to learn the value of "labor", so I've been having to blend in with the rest of the folks. I wouldn't know because my Q paycheck barely covers for my membership at Logan Run, the athletic club, and those pesky weekend golf trips out of CA.
