Qualcomm is a good semi conductor company and would stay here for years to come

Just that it is no more a special company but one of the semi companies

@111496, D-Day? Wow, Q is still a very powerful company with excellent hardware and revenue and is now having a few small bumps in the road. You give them no chance to come back? Lets see what happens a few quarters or about one year from now and hope your wrong. BTW are you a disgruntled Q employee?

Well, this is what happens when you outsource your bread and butter to cheaper, so-so workers. Those good app processor workers end up at Apple and Samsung working on their home grown solution. I forget how many people we've lost to Apple and Samsung's processor group.

actually 820 is being compared to exynos which is in galaxy 6..where also it is beating in single core and not multi-core. Samsung will most likely move away from Snapdragon in near future as it makes no sense for them to use snapdragon....especially when they are buying the modem separately.....

I think snapdragon is done deal with tier1 customers......xiaomi and others are not really going to buy an expensive snapdragon when they can easily get a cheaper mediatek for the customers they are targeting........ I think the D-day will be July 22nd when the earnings come along with the layoff news!!!
