Thread regarding University of Phoenix layoffs

There are people that enrolled less students than you, have no degrees and are still working at UOPX today. You should rally together!

Find out why you were "laid off" and join forces to sue Apollo for discriminating against you. I work for HR and there are hundreds of people currently employed with no degrees that barely enroll. If you get a half way decent lawyer it will be found it was wrongful termination. After you are taxed at 30% minus your vacation = a few hundred dollars

Yes, this applies...I believe all states are 'work-at-will' states UNLESS you have a union contract; but even then, the contract must stipulate the manner of loss of employment and cite the violation of the union regulation. I do not believe this to be the case with any UoP employees, definitely not management/directors, usually unions only cover the 'worker bees'. Any attorney will tell you this: your employer DOES NOT HAVE TO GIVE YOU JUST CAUSE TO ELIMINATE YOU. They can fire you and replace you that day, next week, next month...without telling you anything. You pay taxes to have these rights, rules, and laws enforced: get on board, be an American!

If you were in fact in HR you would know the "Right to work" or "at will" states and any company can release employees with no reason. So, I call BS on the HR remark. Apparently you are one without a degree. Go troll elsewhere.

Is it even going to matter? We will just sound disgruntled. UOP does what they want and they get away with it. I hope they lose their accreditation and everyone continues to see the news and see for themselves what a sorry bhnch of assholes UOP are.
