Quasi murmurings from the other side...let's say SLB throws its weight into the European regulatory hurdle (or GE, Emerson, HAL, etceteros...). Implosion yes. NO. A kulling. The Kulling of a historic technology company. Baker was always fragmented, and its few gems will be swallowed by large newcomers and competitors. GE is building a huge war chest. Huge, selling, selling, selling....lol. But really, why would an E&P company want to buy their equipment from the same place as the others? I don't get it. I think everything was just all f***ed up. And it's getting better....healing into the future. Big o'l juicy heal. SLB has a chance to molt. GE will buy a modest E&P and a service company. BUT

HAL is finished as well.

You unlock this door with the key of imagination. Beyond it is another dimension—a dimension of sound, a dimension of sight, a dimension of mind. By chance, BAKER implodes, deal doesn’t materialize, no deal, no fees, a competitor is eliminated in the process. Check, checkmate. One is left standing and a handful of business units are left to be bought and sold on the cheap. Look ahead, for there is nothing behind. You're moving into a land of both shadow and substance, of things and ideas. You've just crossed over into the Twilight Zone.

Halliburton, per their own press, will at least sell Sperry and Drill bits. All of Sperry to be let go.

I've been looking online. Can't find anything recent. Hoping someone in the know will spill the beans on this site.
