Accreditation Decision Should Be Out This Month (July)

According to John Hausaman, the Higher Learning Commission should have made their decision about the 2-year "notice" status in late June. The decision should be out in July. Mr. Hausaman's email is jhausaman@hlcommission.org

Grandmas Boy..

Camden is a useless old white man who has nothing better to do. He has not shed any light anywhere. He copies and pastes information found on the web and stirs the pot. What he neglects to share is that he was bared from teaching within the prison system, so now he is on a mission to piss and moan about for profit schools. Give credit where it is due...the folks who post the substantive info because they work or have worked for the school and have the inside skinny. Camden gets lost in the dust when layoff updates and the like are posted, because...he has no connection. He is just a miserable old hack.

Hi CK...I'm the lister...gonna follow your lead and out you.

Pro for-profits -- The real world value of a degree from UoP is about $8000. Until they are charging a price that reflects how shitty most employers know their education level is, they are vastly overpriced and screwing both the taxpayer and the student. If you pay taxes it should make you mad to know the CEO retards running the company are making millions that will never be paid back, and they knew it years ago.

I have sent a lengthy letter to the HLC, and one would hope they look into additional issues concerning this diploma mill. Time to shutter this school for the mentally challenged as you're fleecing the taxpayer.

Shut it down. May Camden shine light into this dirty crevice.

@Pro for profits--these schools need to be pared back until they institute real reforms i.e., real entrance evaluations, more PhDs hired from traditional schools, measurable student outcomes, and fewer dollars spent on recruitment and pumped back into hiring better instructors. This school will have fewer than 100K students by the end of 2016. This is a good thing--Apollo should spin them off and they should go not-for-profit too. If they continue with their smoke and mirrors 'fixes', I hope they are closed. There are plenty of not-for-profit schools offering online programs now. Wake up, UOP idiot execs.

They should stay accredited as there's a need for schools like UOP. Plus UOP is one of the most trusted education providers of its kind. All you anti-UOP posters need to find better things to do.

If all the for-profits ever do go under, what will Camden Quixote do to pass the time??

Hopefully they don't pass. ITT should lose theirs too.

UOP is likely to be placed on continued notice status for two more years--they should be stripped of any accreditation for their abysmal learning outcomes, however. This school will continue to contract because of competition, outrageous costs, and students questioning ROI.
