Thread regarding Baker Hughes Inc. layoffs

HAL/BHI Integration Team

I struggle to see how it is legal for two alleged competitors to be having constant meetings where BHI is required to explain pretty darn specific business processes and IT systems to the HAL overseers. For 6 months after the BJ acquisition was finalized (I.e., BHI formally owned BJ) the SEC REQUIRED BHI to run the the USA portion of BJ as a separate business that competed with BJ and we weren't allowed to even talk to BJ. It wasn't until all the Required BJ divestitures were completed that this was lifted. There isn't any regulatory approval and HAL has been giving BHI a rectal exam for months.

Dude you don't even know what your talking about. The little bit of money you playing with on those nickel and dime stocks is nothing. I've been with the company for 25 years and I promise you this! Stocks are a waste of time and money. Doesn't pay off like you think. I have my money in other areas that have done more for me in 5 years than you have probably made in your life time.

It will fail. Get over it!

Put your money where your mouth is. If you KNOW the merger is bound to fail, sell $100,000 of BHI stocks short. When the deal collapses, you will collect about $30,000 in profit. All else is just wishful thinking or hearsay. I has good reasons to believe that the deal will be delayed yet go through in 2016. I am long $50,000 in BHI/HAL and ready to buy more at the right price. If you live from hand to mouth, you probably don't understand "long" and "short".

It has failed already. It would already be a done deal if it was going to get approved. Can't you see the picture here.

and i am certain we will all sleep better at night, comforted in the knowledge that the attorneys are involved, as a matter of fact I feel a nap coming on now.

There are 3 types of discussion topics: Red, Yellow, and Green. The integration teams from BHI and HAL, which is getting bigger and bigger in size, can only discuss Green but not Red topics. Yellow topics can only be discussed with legal guidance. The attorneys are watching the process to make sure it is above board.
