For as long as I've worked here (about 4 years now), there has always been animosity and hatred between FSS and us. I haven't been able to figure out why and my boss can't answer either. She just tells me it's always been that way. Any ideas?

Likewise, we did not worry about the FSS as it did not impact us. Animosity is there because of the whole one Follett fiasco. 2 years of worry and concern about the future. FSS lost there bonus because of FHEG.
You make some very good points. Either we are one Follett or we are 2. Having two divisions made no sense from the beginning, and it seemed like MLS only wanted to cause animosity between the two.
Actually, we didn't care about FHEG one way or the other until we were told we wouldn't get our bonus because FHEG was hemorrhaging money. We aren't really one Follett, are we? If it was one Follett, it would just be Follett. Reality is that there are two Folletts - FHEG and FSS. FHEG is big and important. Corp doesn't care about FSS. FSS makes record profits but we are smaller than you so it isn't enough. FSS goals are so unrealistic as to be impossible. I don't hate FHEG. I hate the idiots running it into the ground.
