Wondering what the deal is with this HR department. Looks like an incredible amount of turnover including some people who leave only after a short time period. Based on the posts on this site, it appears morale could not be at a lower level. Yet, the head of the department is long-term and still in the role. Who has some insight as to what is going on?

Many of those that left voluntarily were young and realized there are much better places to work. Follett is a dead end and no place to make a career for the long term.
meanwhile the promotions at the home office all go to people with less than a year on the clock with the company while long time staff sit back and wonder if they'll see another week's worth of employment.
Down and to the right in all functions. Not good. RIF the teams that built the business and hire losers from RRD, Kmart and Sears who strut around and play at being geniuses and you're surprised. Hey, you own it!
The same downward slope for sales and earnings.
"morale could not be at a lower level" - we set this record every week, morale here is a linear downward sloping function...
