So true! Don't forget the big limos the Corporate attorneys are chauffeured to and fro, i.e., home, work. lunch and other personal events. Oh wait, they stopped doing that right? NOT! Now the guys and gals with degrees should be given preference for management positions over those without degrees, no people-skills, no management training, no prior experience, never held a job other than NOV manufacturing blue-collar worker, especially if the immoral-homewrecker 'no degree' individual transferred right from production or manufacturing right into Corporate. Claiming you need to excel at your job by taking a class some thousand miles away, traveling with a male coworker to get your bump & grind groove on then expense it all out & say you spent $$$$ using bogus receipts yet still clueless about your job duties is what gets missed by management. We saw all your facebook pics and even noticed all the bragging you did about all those countries you rolled in & out of. Where are the pics of you & your male coworker? You say you couldn't post those for fear that the wife might find out. Ahh ...don't forget...karma

There are a lot of really smart people at NOV; some with universities degrees; some without. Some have years of experience in the oil and gas industry; some have little to limited, but if they have a degree, then they are deemed worthy of advancement and promotion over the non-paper holders. I've seen many people promoted because they are very adept in playing TCBN - "The Corporate Brown-Nose" game. What is really frightening, however, are the ones who get into management and they have no clue how to perform any of the jobs that the people they "manage" perform. The "Next-Gens", "Purdue-goers", NOV "university" and their ilk run the business, along with some very circumspect upper echelon narcissistic Sr. executives who have shady pasts (x-Varco, twittering, social media ego-maniacs); they spend an exorbitant amount of time taking photos of one another; flying all over the world and rubbing one another on the back (at least publicly). NOV spent several million dollars to reinvent the public perception of the company. They hired an artsy fartsy firm out of Los Angeles and flew them all over the world to get the "voice of the customer". What a lot of hooey. Do you know how many jobs could be kept if they didn't do that kind of stuff? Not to mention the millions of dollars spent on Texan football suites, rodeo suites, astro games, the opera, the ballet and other "arts" to take clients to. Absolutely ridiculous how some incompetent morons here at Corporate get promoted into management when all they do is lie, rip the company off and other people, show up twice per week and pretend to work or do nothing all day but take long lunches, have romantic affairs and set people up. Just remember, this is for sure, karma will come back around full circle to get ya.

Funny and true. Goat-face manager in our department here at Corp. Comp. is a full-blown narcissistic sociopath who's very incompetent at her job who pretends to know something. Unethical. No degree. I highly doubt she made it passed 6'th grade. She uses people to get what she wants. We all know what's up. Everything she spews out of her mouth is nothing but lies. She can't even dress for the part. Coming in to work everyday looking like she's about to repair valves is not glamorous or professional. Come on this the Corp. office not the manufacturing plant where you use to work. Clothes all wrinkled as if they had been chewed up and spit out by a cow. How did she attain her position? Manipulating, deception and trickery. Why would anyone in their right mind have this incompetent homewrecker-football linebacker-look-a-like managing professionals who do have degrees? Unbelievable!

Sad but true. You either conform or are forced to leave either through a redundancy package or a 'fake' downsizing letter. Incompetent people with huge salaries who make no contributions to the revenue stream should be the first in line to go....or so one would think. The backstabbers and liars stick together it would seem. What happens when they all turn on one another? It will happen. All is fair in the war of job security isn't that true downhole and well bore?
