Yep. My group is getting hit with 34%. I'm aware of other groups being hit 0%. That's because their bosses have the connections and clout. I thought the whole fing point of bringing in BCG was to prevent this type of anchoring and empire building. What a fing waste.

The net of proj alpha remains as announced but some units will get lower percentage cuts and some higher. ETC is actually cutting 29% not 25% as some assume.

500 sounds right but that's 300 less than 2008 levels and 3300 less than today's levels.

Also the billable model is a excuse for poor management and literally encorages inefficency. Consider the lowly etc sme, who's only target is billable. He is in charge of gathering work (the technical sales portion of his work load). What is he incentiviced to do? If say maximize billable. How does one do that? By milking the shit out of projects that sometimes should not be worked on at all. All along the bus that won't spend money are wasting money through low lying fruit of ingornance. The whole model is f***ed and doomed to failure. He people all want to leave. Its only a place to ride to retire or slowly die.

They are not getting rid of etc. Chevron needs it. Now it's broke. The model is aligned with outcomes and billable hours. They are going to staff appropriately. I don't have a clue what that looks like but I would think 400-500 people. Now I also don't think Chevron has the ability to make anything efficient.

Well there are some useful etc functions. Some of it should stay. Could definitely use a workover

And replaced with? Many of the etc functions are needed but not efficient to keep at the bu level. Are you suggesting the org disappears, gets divested into bu's, or that cvx merges uc and etc after layoffs into a central d&c unit (like everyone else). This post while vague aligns with other posts. The etc business model is riddled with conflicts and will never work so the idea of the latter option is uterly exiting.
