Ever since I started working here, I always was told Qualcomm folks were too arrogant. I actually thought there was some truth to that. But now, as most of us face the possibility of losing our jobs, I am seeing a bit more humility among the real posts (those not posting racist shit, fake songs or porn links). It's about the only positive I can see about this situation. Hope whichever folks get spared the axe remember how they feel right now and don't get cocky again once the dust clears.

What a sad state of affair, when we have to watch our back within our own house. QC encouraged back stabbing and grabbing territory by creating matrix structure and parallel projects. This only encourages one QC employee to outdo another and gain at his expense. This kind of competition will eventually self destruct.
Oh , I have witnessed VPs/Sr director folks fighting like dogs to preserve or expand their territory multiple times now.......its ugly but interesting to see these folks fight. its all about territory grabbing...sad but reality.
QC employees not only got arrogant but also territorial. I have heard a QC VP saying that he was not concerned about any outside competition, as he had all the resource in the world. He was only concerned with another group outdoing his group to take the projects. This culture has evolved into a territorial game of how to take down the guys.
Very true...QC got bloated too much too fast and could not scale management well, I heard good things about qcom before i joined but think thats a history...this a different company on decline curve with self-serving management..

Born cocky, will always be cocky - I have no problem with that. Thanks for sharing.
