Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

Funny, checked the other industry related sites on this website, and all are so much more positive and inquiring

We all know the excrement is about to hit the rotating equipment. It is one thing to draw out the "decision making process", when we all know the decisions have been made. At this point "upper management" has gone above and beyond with their "over-delivery" of suspense. Pull the friggin trigger already! At this point, management is just pissing off the ones they want to keep (management excluded). Typical CVX. Org Charts (positions only) were released weeks ago. If you want us towork for you tell us, if you don't tell us. This charade is way overblown drama by what I thought was a respectable company.

PS don't bother tracing the IP address HR, you may find a rabbit at the end of that road.

The youngsters in Horizons are taking note. Though it is the first visit to the lion cage for most of them, they also are noticing the ineptness. Many expect Horizons to be ditched. But realistically, this is all happening because we are in a cash crunch of epic proportions that is accelerating in severity and pressured by the qtrly dividends. Part of that pressure is due to price of oil, part is due to the kind of poor management that occurs when CEOs declare $100 is here to stay and operations adhere to or hide behind safety at any cost. When times improve, and they will, our remaining qual performers will jump ship and it will be difficult to recruit at colleges again given the total demise of the Chevron Way culture.

LOL at the above post, you need to put flamboyantly gay also. And the poster you are correct. The decisions have been made. The hold up is how do we craft the message. There is no message to craft as you are canning 1 in 4 Dad's Mom's and it's only negative in your work forces eyes! I was at CBU and now in Cali. This is a complete disaster. Watch how they fill these positions. It's about buddies. This layoff, you think, would get rid of the oh so many jack ass's, but it does not. It was handled so badly in both BU's workplace violence was and is a real scenario. I made an excuse to leave CBU for the project as I worried about someone snapping there.
