Here we go guys. Hey I got a suggestion for cost savings. Let's pull Martin's 29 million and Kim's 7 million parachutes = 36 million in savings.

Yep, some directors, upper middle and lower level managers could surely be redundant given the RIF of a lot of 'worker bees' ......... doesn't it seem like a lot of folks just coming in day-to-day waiting to see what shoe falls next and if they are walked out or not? Bet if IT did a search on computers, it would be amazing of all those searching for jobs, googling and surfing the net! However, do you really blame 'em?
Why do we still have so many manager and less workers?
Some downsizing/outsourcing models suggest the excisement of junior and lower level management as a primary driver for cost reduction effort. This forces the middle manager to take a step down but retain their job while they now assume the former junior managers responsibilities. This is known as the downward escalator. Others models see the middle management layer experiencing the excisement. The reasoning here is that the existing junior managers already have a report with their employees, customer base, processes and product/ services.
One thing is for certain. In both cases the upper management sees no change to their status. So what's it's going to be for BHI ? Will we see Jr or middle managers take the dive? I suppose next week we'll find out. Anyone care to wager a bet? I say Jr's are gone but I would hope the middles take the hit.
They can save even millions more by eliminating all the directors & upper level mgr's that have nothing to do since so many worker bees have been laid off. Do some much needed consolidation.
