The weekend was a blast. Spent time with my family doing the things that I enjoy doing both at home and outside. Got to see my kids play in all the games, had a great movie night, and took the family to the beach today. The nicest part is that I got to enjoy my weekend without the stress of worrying about what happens tomorrow or the next week, because I've already got something lined up in August at a new place. And so, the cell phone is off, the work computer is off, the emails I don't care anymore. And with my new employer, everyone goes home at a decent time: 6pm...No email, not work phone call at night, no dealing with a remote office location in the wee hours..And with the vested stock now and the sign on bonus with the new place, I'm sure happy to pay off my remaining mortgage. Stress free life. That's how it should have been all along.

Way to go OP! ,I also started working only 8 hr in Q far last 2 years when I sensed exploitation,Stopped giving any f*** to middle mangers.My life is good in Q now. Anyone can do it,no can force you to work more than 8 hr,you just need to be firm and stand up! Remember YOU are the most important person for YOURSELF and you need to keep yourself always at #1 priority.
