Wow that's great! No layoffs? I wonder why I was one of the people let go. I was told there will be plenty of others. I did get a severance package. Two weeks vacation pay, medical insurance through the end of the month, a job transition program and $40,000 severance package that was taxed to death.

OP very sorry to hear it.I wish you good luck in new job search. Good thing is that you are getting out of this rathole. I am hoping to get laid off us well. Which group you were in? did they give some time to review waivers before signing? any formula to come to $40K or its flat? Make sure you read M. Gandhi post before signing anything..
