Thread regarding Qualcomm Inc. layoffs

Will Q convert the empty buildings into luxury high rise San Diego apartments? Would really cut down on traffic.

apartments on campus for walk to work. Gym is already in the building. Or condos?

Re 137846: It would actually be better than now. You could skip the commute entirely and contribute more to the success of the company. The Chinese manufactures have it nailed down really good; you arrive to their housing complex for work and won't leave in the next 6 months as there's no need for that. Everything is available within walking distance there.

Q should definitely sell the peripheral buildings farthest away from N. Selling the entire block where AA (and others) are would bring a really nice profit now.

Actually, I read they might lease one to Eli Lilly (?) because the BigPharmaCo wants a bigger local presence in biotech. Whether that actually happens is anyone's guess, though.

What a bad idea. Even when you go home, you are still at work.
