Has anyone noticed the vending machines being removed from their work area? I was told today that vending machines were being removed from offices in Allen Center and it would spread to 1400 Smith and 1500 Louisiana. The reason is to cut costs and eliminate paying to rent the machines and pay the vendor guy to stock them every couple of weeks. I guess the coffee will be going next, and then office supplies.

The vending machine on my floor hasn't accepted dollar bills in quite some time. If they fixed the damn thing I'm sure it'd be more profitable.
How about the lavish Christmas parties? Will there be anybody around to enjoy them, except for the party planning committees?
The plants gone yet?
Who is Gilligan?
no tissues in the breakroom, no vending machines, not a single luxury. It's like Robinson Crusoe, as primitive as can be.
Another cost saving plan is to remove the toilet paper in the bathrooms. Start packing your own now, along with your lunch.
They are saving on pennies and throwing away big bucks. Classic corporate America.
I thought yhere was a new vending company coming in and they were swapping machines and I was told it was a cost cutting move. My God is it that bad?????
I am so glad to hear this! This will cover all the money we are spending on Gor-gone and improve our cash flow. I expect our stock to skyrocket upon the vending machine news being reported on CNN.
Photocopiers have already started to be replaced by facsimile machines on some floors! Seriously WTF?
I bet the CPDEP project to remove the vending machines has been 2 years in the making, management has known that CVX would be taking a hit for quite some time, and has had this ace up its sleeve just waiting to be played to bail us out.
