Demotion or layoff... layoff. Mes takes da $$$$. I tried, they said resign, no package fo you.
I'd love to see my former manager do my job! As a matter of fact, if I were feeling more benevolent, I'd PAY to see that patent whore attempt to do my job! But since I'm sort of cheap, I'll just have to live vicariously through reports on the layoff.
I imagine after a lot of the engineer terminations, C some of the managers will be given the opportunity of a demotion rather than a termination into the vacancies left by us. Typically upper management are given the choice between a severance package or a demotion they almost always take the severance package because of the humiliation of the motion and lots of rank and stature
