You then don't have a lot of financial sense, making you in line for a recurring exceeds/exceeds rating in the BOFA way of ranking things. If you shop in the market place for financial products, you can find a better deal, without much effort I might add, for any product BOFA offers, whether be credit card, auto loan, mortgage. Only thing which might be a challenge would be the Merrill offering, but I can tell you that every Merrill Lynch employee hates being part of Bank Of America. It was like Saks Fifth Avenue being taken over by Walmart and telling their client base they're now being managed by Walmart, but no worries, we'll still call it Saks if it makes you feel better about doing business with us.

Even though I was laid off I love Bank of America. It would be cutting off my nose to spit my face if I closed my accounts.

This is a slam dunk - will be one of the first topics discussed in exit interview when the time comes. Checking/savings, chump change. That will only be a drop in the bucket.
