971 - Learn to read. Wondering is not suggesting and "not sure" is by definition not definitive one way or the other. And you missed the main point, those keeping jobs may have it harder in the long run and those loosing jobs may be better off. Oh wait, you can't comprehend, the key word is may.

As I said in a previous post, I wonder if the prudent move is to sabotage your selection in this current ROM, like maybe choosing openings that you are not qualified for. It might be hard not to be too obvious, but if left standing you have severance and partial retirement benefits. That's money in hand that might not be there this time next year. Its a safe bet the rules are going to change in the coming rounds.

It could backfire and they offer you the job they've already slotted you for (No one really believes a fair, qualifications only selection process, do they?), forcing an even worse work environment, but it sure would send a message if a lot of people did. Full disclosure, I'm not sure I would have the guts to try.
