The way I see it is the Americans are always the first to go but the foreigners seem to have staying power. Did NOV supply them all with green cards and high pay?

It begins at the Corporate level with all the corporate smugs and corporate thugs and works its way down to other business units in every location. The big corporate fat cats know what's up. They know who is making them their money, allow unfair treatment and they allow it. Without us, they wouldn't even be in the position they are in making those big fat bonuses and enormous paychecks, a paycheck big enough to feed a 3'rd world country.
Folks ... Now is not the time to turn on each other. Most workers are doing the best they can under very difficult circumstances. Our "leaders" do not lead ... They set us up for failure and pit us all against each other. We are more powerful together, we just need to realize WE have the power to bring the company to its knees. Worldwide walkouts would get us started towards fair treatment & honest communication. Thoughts?
You should see some of the sh*t that gets sent over from the USA that's been through so called FAT testing. Majority of the time it needs completely redoing or building.
Of course they will be laid off in their own country. Scots and Brits in the U.S. are like Gods despite their Incompetencies. They do NOT get laid off in the US. Too costly to bring them here. Too costly to send them back. Plus, they are their own little cartel.
There's been numerous layoffs at rig systems along with site closures in Derbyshire.

Example, Tom Macallister the Global Competency Manager was a nurse, how did he get where he is a mystery. He is chummy with Joe Rovig, Bob Nicholson and the other Prez.
Even though expenses are cut he and hjs department are able to fly the world on Biz class to conduct competency assessment exercises.
